What the formatter fixes
- Missing # signs. Plain words become hashtags.
- Duplicates. #Fitness and #fitness count as the same tag. The first one you typed is kept.
- Broken characters. Hyphens, dots, emoji and other symbols end a hashtag early in Instagram, so they are removed. Underscores stay.
- Number-only tags. Tags like #2026 do not link in Instagram, so they are dropped.
Spaces split words into separate hashtags. Join phrases yourself: write homeworkout, not home workout.
How many hashtags should you use?
Instagram allows up to 30. Fewer, more specific hashtags that match the post are easier to keep relevant than a long generic list. Check the full caption with the caption counter.

Does capital letter case matter in hashtags?
No. #HomeWorkout and #homeworkout are the same hashtag. Capitals only make long tags easier to read.
