How to add line breaks
Type the bio in Edit profile and press return where you want a new line. If the line break does not stick, write the bio here, copy it and paste it into Instagram. Each line break counts as one character.

Do emoji count toward the 150 characters?
Yes. Some emoji count as more than one character in Instagram, so leave a small buffer if you are close to 150.
Is the name field part of the bio limit?
No. Your name and username are separate fields with their own limits. Keywords in your name field help people find you in search.
Can I put a clickable link in my bio text?
No. Links in the bio text are not clickable. Use the links field in Edit profile instead.
